About me
My name is Elena Miller, I am currently a District Helping Teacher for Libraries at the Abbotsford School District #34 in British Columbia. I was born in Lima, Peru South America. I immigrated to Canada from Santiago, Chile in 1983. I pursued a Bachelor of Specialization in Spanish and French Languages from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB. In 1990 I moved to Chilliwack, BC with my husband Dennis Miller and raised our family. I obtained a Library Technician's Diploma at U.F.V. in 1999 and was hired by the Abbotsford School District. Years later I obtained a position as a Library Technician in a Secondary School at the Chilliwack School District. While at Chilliwack Secondary School I pursued a Bachelor of Education degree. Once I graduated I was hired by the Chilliwack School District and eventually at the Abbotsford School District as a languages teacher at Arts Integrated School. While teaching languages I began a Post Diploma through Simon Fraser University which I will be graduating soon. I currently, taking the Master of Education in teacher-librarianship from the University of Alberta.
